Read to Betty Boop!

Theresa Public Library offers a monthly Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.)® program through B.A.R.C.C. Badgerland Animal Reading & Comfort Companions. The mission of B.A.R.C.C. is to enrich the lives of people of all ages through the use of pet therapy and Reading Education Assistance Dogs.
Betty Boop will be at the Theresa Public Library for you to read to on
Tuesday, December 18th from 4pm to 5:30pm.

She is a trained reading/therapy dog. Reserve your 15 minute time slot and enjoy reading to Betty Boop. Dogs can’t read, but they can be good listeners! Their presence creates inviting and motivating environments. They listen quietly and never interrupt!

Drivers Education Program

Theresa Public Library has a quick link available on our website offering a free drivers education program containing: 11 car practice tests, 9 motorcycle practice tests, 12 CDL practice tests, 3 online driver’s manuals (car, motorcycle, CDL), and a FAQ section with detailed answers to over 100 DMV-related questions. All information is state specific.
The Read Aloud toolbar (found in the footer of every page) includes tools that let users hear selections read aloud or make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask sections of the screen for greater visibility. All tests can now be read aloud by ESL speakers, those with vision problems, and those with such learning disabilities as dyslexia.
